Roy Morgan consumer confidence up 4.8 pts on the month

But perhaps of most interest is that 51% of Australians expect “good times” economically over the next 5 years. Only 12 % expect Australia to have “bad times.

Indeed, as far as personal finances go, 43% expect to be better off over the next year and only 11% to be worse off. You can see the full report here.

Given the uncertainties around the whether the world will pull itself out of the mire once the bubbles of stimulus have worn off, such confidence about the future might be thought a touch optimistic.
